Fabchem Mining will showcase its FAB602 “Rabbit” PRP Portable and Rechargeable Hydraulic Stressing Pump at Electra Mining Africa 2026. Designed to eliminate manual pumping and dependence on compressed air, the FAB602 helps streamline underground workflows, reduce operator effort, and improve productivity.
As mining operations continue to focus on safety and operational efficiency, the FAB602 provides a smarter alternative to conventional hydraulic pumps and compatible with Fabchem Mining Stressing Jacks, Croppers and Tensioners.
The pump has three 18V, 6.0 Ah lithium-ion batteries, the FAB602 features a two-stage high-pressure hydraulic pump that delivers rapid tool advancement and consistent hydraulic performance. Its double-acting pump incorporates a 2.5-litre reservoir tank, while the quiet, brushless motor ensures reliable operation with minimal maintenance requirements.
The system is designed to maximise productivity by operating at twice the speed of a conventional air-powered pump, remove and replace with tensioning cycle in less than one minute without requiring compressed air. Weighing approximately 11 kg, the rechargeable unit is portable, quiet, and ideal for underground operations in non-fiery mine conditions. It helps mining operations improve underground support activities by providing a portable rechargeable hydraulic solution that reduces setup time, increases mobility, and eliminates the dependence on compressed air and manual pumping.
