Microtex Brings Its LIMITLESS Underground Battery Packs to Electra Mining Africa 2026
The Microtex LIMITLESS Mining Power pack — a vented lead-acid increased-safety traction battery pack for underground mining vehicles.
Microtex Energy Private Limited, the Bengaluru battery house whose packs have powered underground mining fleets in India and across Africa for over fifteen years, exhibits at Electra Mining Africa 2026 — Stand E17G, Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec, 7–11 September.

On show is the LIMITLESS range of vented lead-acid increased-safety traction battery packs for battery locomotives, scoops, LHDs, personnel carriers and utility vehicles — engineered per mine, not per catalogue. Electrolyte density is chosen for the mine's real operating temperature, acid containment is designed for floors that are never level, and connections are built for machines that vibrate all shift. Traction cell families are capacity-tested at CPRI, India's national electrical laboratory, at the honest five-hour rate.

Every pack is supplied as a system with its matched mining-duty charger, with ampere-hour and time logs the mine can audit — one supplier, one responsibility.

"Africa's underground fleets have run on our batteries for more than fifteen years," says Ravi Govindan, Chairman & Managing Director. "Johannesburg is home ground. Bring us a nameplate photograph of your oldest battery — that is how the best conversations start."

Established 1969. Exporting since 1977. Vertically integrated: alloys, oxides, plates, tubular gauntlets, separators and moulded containers made in-house. More at microtex.com/mining.
