ZINGA AT ELECTRA MINING AFRICA

ZINGA is a single-component, cold-applied galvanic coating containing 96% pure zinc in the dry film, with unlimited shelf life in unopened original packaging. Developed and manufactured in Belgium for over 45 years, ZINGA delivers true cathodic protection to ferrous metals — the same electrochemical principle as hot-dip galvanising, but applied like a paint, on site, at any scale. From new-build structural steel to the in-situ repair of weathered HDG, ZINGA restores and extends asset life by 25 years and beyond, with proven references on bridges, transmission pylons, storage tanks, port infrastructure, mining headgear, and offshore assets across more than 60 countries.

The ZINGA product family is complemented by ZINGASPRAY (high-build aerosol for touch-up and hard-to-reach areas), ZINGATARFREE (a tar-free topcoat for buried, immersed, and aggressive environments), and ZINGA 420 (a low VOC variant of Zinga). Together these allow specifiers and applicators to design a complete duplex system — galvanic primer plus protective topcoat — without compromise, and without the bottlenecks, geometry constraints, or thermal distortion that limit traditional hot-dip galvanizing.

ZINGA South Africa is the trading name of Pegasus Trading BV in the South African market — the dedicated regional arm responsible for the commercialization, technical support and market development of the ZINGA product family across South Africa, Zambia, Mozambique and Tanzania, as well as distributor support in Botswana, Namibia and Kenya. The Johannesburg-based operation is the regional hub for large-account specifier engagement, distributor development, and applied technical support, with active references including transmission infrastructure for in Zambia, product approval on the Mozambique LNG project, and a growing portfolio of South African mining, energy, and fabrication clients.

The Southern African mandate is built around three pillars: building distributor capacity in each market, securing product approval at major asset owners and EPC contractors, and providing the technical support — CPD presentations, on-site application training, pull-off testing, and specification consulting — that allows engineers and corrosion specialists to confidently specify ZINGA in the most demanding C5 environments. As a member of the Corrosion Institute Southern Africa, the teams works closely with the regional coating-inspector community to ensure that every ZINGA application is correctly specified, correctly applied, and independently verifiable.

Visit ZINGA South Africa at Stand C11 in Hall 2 during Electra Mining Africa 2026 to discuss your asset-protection challenges, see live demonstrations of the ZINGA product family, and meet the team behind the cold-applied galvanic system that asset owners across Southern Africa are turning to when 25-year corrosion protection is the requirement, not the aspiration.
