Zoei Tech Solutions to Demonstrate Underground Wi-Fi and Digital Mine Technology at Electra Mining Africa 2026
Zoei Tech Solutions will bring its award-winning underground digital communications technology to Electra Mining Africa 2026, showcased through its partnership with NLT Digital Solutions at Hall 3 (previously Hall 8), Stand C28.
At the heart of the demonstration is the N-Connex system — a plug-and-play, IP67-rated modular network built to eliminate underground fibre splicing and enable rapid deployment of gigabit connectivity in the harshest mining environments. NLT Digital Solutions, whose technology Zoei Tech Solutions distributes, was the first company to introduce Wi-Fi networks to underground coal mines, and its systems are now deployed in some of the largest coal mines in the world.
Visitors to the stand will see how the N-Connex and NetPort hardware ranges combine with the Symphony software suite to deliver real-time personnel and vehicle tracking, environmental and gas monitoring, two-way voice communications, and site-wide emergency warning systems — all managed through a single interface covering both hazardous and non-hazardous zones.
Intrinsically safe (IS) equipment within the range is purpose-built for coal mines with methane risk, allowing operators to extend full digital visibility into zones that have historically been the hardest to connect.
"Real-time visibility underground isn't a convenience anymore — it's become central to how safely and efficiently a mine can operate," a Zoei Tech Solutions spokesperson said. "The N-Connex system lets operators put a network into ground that was previously unreachable, in a fraction of the time and cost traditional cabling would take."
