Lifting Africa will host the Forklift Driver Competition throughout Electra Mining Africa 2026 from 09:00 to 17:00 daily in the outside Yellow Zone at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec. 

The Forklift Driver Competition is designed to test participants through a series of practical and technical challenges that simulate real-world operating conditions. Competitors will be evaluated on accuracy, efficiency, safety compliance, and overall handling ability. With substantial cash prizes, a prestigious championship trophy, and the honour of being crowned Forklift Driver Champion, the competition is expected to attract top-tier talent from across the region.

Visitors to the Lifting Africa stand can experience the excitement of the Forklift Driver Competition, where South Africa's top forklift operators compete in various timed practical challenges designed to demonstrate safe operating practices, precision handling and operator skill.
